"You know you play too much poker if..."
* ...you figure out every puchase in terms of buyins.
* ...you try to read what the other person is thinking in every social situation.
* ...you explain to your significant other why every other play on some poker TV show was good/bad.
* ...when sitting in a meeting, your one spot right of the boss and you consider yourself in the cutoff. :)
* ...you tell the waitress to "ship it!" after you order.
* ...you don´t have sexy dreams about winning in the Big Game to the adulation of your peers and the admiring glances of women. No, I mean ceaseless, pointless dreams about cards turning over again and again and again, to no discernable end and with no discernable outcome.
* ...when you're counting (anything) and the progression is "8 ... 9 ... 10 ... Jack ... Queen".
* ...you idly look at the number plate of the car on the road in front of you, and your brain goes 'STRAIGHT DRAW!!'
* ...u don't see one of the 19-tabling regs one day and worry what might have happened to him.
* ...when the zit faced teenager at the cash at McDonalds says, "that's $7.34", and you reply with, "I call".
* ...you dream of nuts instead of breasts.
* ...i had a dream recently about sleeping. in my dream, i figured that if i bought 4 beds, i could get in 4x the number of hours of sleep in the same period i had been sleeping on 1, thereby maximizing my sleep time. Multitabling sleep?
* ...you make a potsized raise in an eBay auction to steal the pot.
* ...youre at a restaurant and you start peeking at the under-edge of you napkins like they are hole cards.
* ...when you take a break from poker if you are on downswing, you are relaxing by watching HSP,WSOP, WPT etc ,reading NVG and BBV and playing live with your poker buddies for small stakes.
You go swimming, and while you do laps you think about the hands from last night and when you are resting, you are reading some new poker book you just got from the FPP store.
Also, aba released a new cardrunners video, so you have to watch that as well.
And for laughs you just rewatch that TonyG - Ralph Perry video, while saying all the lines with him, like "Can you feel my power, baby?".Or watch any of the classic Hellmuth tantrums.
So after a week of "taking a break from poker" you are all rested and ready to grind again.
* ...at the dinner table....
when asked to pass the Salt & Pepper, you go into the tank then slide both shakers, and your glass of sweet tea into the middle of the table and say, "I'm all-in".
* ...when deciding not to go out because it would be -ev.
* ...when you knock on the table when ever something bad happens to signal "nice hand".
